Shalom Sanctuary

God has graciously provided Transformed for Life with 1,300 acres of land upon which we are in the process of constructing a Shalom Sanctuary. The Shalom Sanctuary will include a Creation Care Center where TFL will have wildlife conservation and wildlife conservation activities as well as a Restoration Center.

Transformed for Life is begining a Creation Care Center on our 1,300 acre property where we will have wildlife conservation and wildlife tourism activities. We are currently reforesting the entire site with indigenous trees and protecting the beautiful wildlife within. The site already has a wide variety of Ugandan wildlife including tree hyrax, pole cats, sitatunga, serval, jackal, hedgehog, and a wide variety of beautiful birds!

The Creation Center will have a variety of different activities, including:

  • Birding
  • Swamp walks
  • Nature walks
  • Giraffe feeding
  • Gift shop
  • Restaurant
  • Hedgehog, chameleon and egg snake experientials
  • Wildlife trekking of unique African wildlife
  • Aardvark and African crested porcupine

Transformed for Life is partnerned with Mending the Soul, a nonprofit providing Christ-centered, curriculum to help people heal from trauma and abuse and be trained to help others heal as well.

The Restoration Center will be a beautiful facility where front-line workers who are exhausted in heart, body and soul can come to be
restored. The center will be full of trees, birds and flowers with beautiful and dignifying classrooms, guesthouses, a prayer chapel and prayer garden. There is currently no residential training and restoration center in Uganda like the one we are proposing.
