"Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." Hebrews 13:1-3
Care of Resettled Children
Transformed for Life has resettled over 100 street children home with their biological families as well as over 50 children in crisis from our rural community. Transformed for Life receives phone calls from the community, police, and child welfare office when there are children in our District who have abandoned, trafficked, abused or are in conflict with the law. Whenever possible we resettle the child with their biological families. If this is not possible we find a suitable foster family to place this child with. We provide a resettlement package that includes comfort objects for the child, food, clothing, medical care, as well as mattresses, linens, blankets, mosquito nets, and an animal or financial empowerment project for the child and the family that they are being placed with.
Whenever financially possible, Transformed for Life sponsors resettled children so that they can receive high levels of support and an excellent education.
We provide care and support to resettled children by:
Paying school fees
Providing school requirements
Ensure they are being fed
Regular medical care
Regular school and home visits from our social workers
Choosing to sponsor a resettled child in crisis would provide much needed and stable support to a child in desperate need.
"And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday." Isaiah 58:10
