“Unless we practice conservation, those who come after us will have to pay the price of misery, degradation and failure for the progress and prosperity of our day.” Gifford Pinchot
Conservation and Tree Planting

Transformed for Life believes in the utter importance of protecting our precious planet and the unique trees and animals that it holds. With the increase in the human population, living in balance with the environment is becoming increasingly more difficult. Uganda has suffered from extensive deforestation. It is also sustenance farmers like the ones we serve who suffer the most from global warming.
Our programs are situated next to two beautiful national forests that were once brimming with rare and unique species native to Western Uganda such as pangolins, bush babies, pottos, caracals, bat eared foxes, antelope, dik dik, and the kob. Through deforestation and extensive poaching, these animals are almost all gone. We are in the process of coming up with strategies to help combat this challenge through sensitising our community, tree planting and awareness campaigns so that these beautiful and unique species can once again thrive in our area. We also want to change the attitude of our community from "exploiting the forest" to "conserving our forest" for sustainable and long-term protection.
We have planted over 500,000 indigenous trees on our land. We want to continue to plant even more!
Hand in hand with our community, we are focused to do even more to continue combating deforestation in our district.
